- Video will need to be encoded (compressed) to reduce the file size.
- The better the original source material, the better the streamed (encoded) video.
- Decide on the target audience and therefore which media player the film will be encoded for. Quicktime, Real Media, Windows Media, Flash are the some of the best.
- The more you compress video, the more its quality tends to degrade.
- Frame rate, screen dimensions, audio quality, film length, encoder type all affect the end result. A frame rate set too low can look juddery and set too high can look grainy. Screen dimensions set too big can look grainy and too small can be hard to view.
